Can I buy a ‘custom version’ of an existing map?

Yes, of course. Just contact us with your enquiries and we will get in touch with you shortly with a non-commital offer.

Do you send a lot of newsletters when I subscribe to this service?

We are actually a bit allergic ourselves to a constant flood of unnecessary mails in our mailbox. So please do not worry, we will not send you emails all the time. We will inform you when we feel that is really important for you to stay up-to-date with important news, maps and discounts as they become available.


What’s the difference between Printable Maps and Vector Maps?

You can find all the info you need on our dedicate page: Printable Maps and Vector Maps.

Can I have more information about the different layers used in your maps?

Our Layer Names are self-explanatory. If, however, you need more information about these layers, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Printable maps do not contain layers.

Do you use open source data?

Yes. When mapping the world, One Stop Map makes use of free and open data sources available on the web. The sources are of high quality and the result of many volunteers, including us. 

What’s your policy for naming geographic features?

When you compare for instance the Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World and Atlas of the world from National Geographic, both very influential, you will still see many differences in the names used. It all depends on which provisions you make and on which items are relevant in your vision of maps.

Is shopping with One Stop Map secure?

Definitely! We use a secure, fully PCI Compliant checkout to process credit cards.

I see my prices ‘exclusive VAT’, what does that mean?

If you live outside of the European Union you don’t have to pay VAT.
For our European customers we need to collect EU-VAT at the rate of the home country of the customer.
If you are a business located within the European Union (not Belgium), and you have a valid VAT-number, you can enter that number at checkout to be exempted from VAT.

I am a valid EU-business, do I have the choice of paying VAT or not?

Yes, on checkout, if you are located in the European Union (not Belgium), a VAT number box will be displayed. Just enter a valid VAT number to be exempted from VAT.

Message: ‘Your card does not support this type of purchase’

According to Stripe, our payment gateway, this message likely means:

  • Your debit card requires a PIN to be entered. If you are trying to use one of these cards, you’ll need to use another card to make the purchase.
  • Your card has restrictions on cross-border usage. If the card was issued in a country (the ‘origin’ field when you view the details of the payment) other than where your business is located, this might be the problem. In this case, please contact your bank to see if they have this restriction.
  • Your card (often corporate cards or FSA cards) can only be used for certain business categories, like travel or healthcare.
